The Day of Lord Ganesha’s Blessings
Sankashti Chaturthi is a highly auspicious day dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings. It falls on the Chaturthi Tithi (4th day) of the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the Moon) every month. When Sankashti Chaturthi falls on a Tuesday, it is known as Angarki Sankashti, which is considered even more powerful and sacred.
Ekadashi is a day for detoxifying the body, mind, and soul.
Fasting on this day is believed to purify past karmas and bring spiritual elevation.
It is said that observing Ekadashi with faith helps attain peace, prosperity, and even liberation (moksha).
Fasting: Many devotees fast completely or follow a strict satvik diet (no grains, no salt).
Chanting & Bhakti: Devotees recite Vishnu Sahasranama, bhajans, or meditate on the names of Lord Vishnu or Krishna.
Night Vigil: Some stay awake the entire night, singing devotional songs and performing kirtan.
Charity & Seva: Acts of compassion and donation are encouraged on this sacred day.
Ekadashi symbolizes mastery over desires, a reminder to slow down from the material world and connect with the divine within. It is a day of inner alignment, divine connection, and soul nourishment.
